The Red Door
The Red Door was an exhibition space for contemporary art located in the artist warehouse district of East Oakland, CA, in operation from 2000 to 2002. Co-founded by Shanna Maurizi and Steven Barich at a time when artists and art spaces were being squeezed out of San Francisco, the space was created to provide a platform for Oakland artists and a hub for exchange between artists and the community in the Fruitvale neighborhood.
