Stakeouts, cheap hotels and gun ranges carry them through the southern USA as they re-visit friendship and loss, as the music of early '90s San Francisco drifts off the car stereo.

Rather than a record of people and events, SF Diary is an examination of an individual’s experience of time. What visual images serve as chapter markers in the passage of hours? As the camera turns off and on during timelapse recordings automatic sound recordings are made.
